First time, it took 11 tries. Second time, I didn't die at all, despite expecting me to die maybe once or twice lol. Great game though tbh. It was really fun :)

Are most of these reviewers high? Because I've read all the other reviews and they're all bringing up the submit score thing and stuff about the music. Literally, early on with this game (and this is the game's biggest flaw clearly), you die no matter what! Not the worst game on Newgrounds obviously... but jeez, dude! @.@

The original was one of my favorite Newgrounds games, but I couldn't remember the name of it after all this time until I saw this was posted. Thanks :D This is great!

[Sam's Haunted Manor]

Okay - the game looks really amazing, despite looking like it was just something drawn up by a kid in a few minutes, the music sounds great and the boss fight was really fun too. The only problems are for starters, the gun fires lower than where enemies on the same level are, I couldn't read all the text in the intro because that Unity watermark on the bottom was in the way (that I don't fault you for though) and the game was a bit too short. Very nice though. I hope you continue making games! :D
